THE ASK
Craft a Bud Knight suit of armor for myself.
The Bud Knight is a character created by Bud Light to promote their beer in Super Bowl commercials. I decided to remake the character into a lady version. Budweiser loved the gender bend remake and sent me to the San Diego Comic Con as well as writing an origin story for Lady Bud Knight.
BUILDING THE ARMOR
I started out by referencing the Bud Knight. I then made paper patterns for all of the armor pieces and traced them to EVA foam. I used a heat gun to curve the foam, glued pieces together and spray painted them.
SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON
After discovering my costume, Budweiser sent me on an all expense paid trip to the San Diego Comic Con. I mingled with the crowds and took photos with fans.
PRESS COVERAGE
